Here are a couple of Fat Burning Bike Workouts you can try this week!
Steady Pace Ride
Riding at a steady pace is an excellent strategy for cycling weight loss. Your pace should be such that a conversation is possible but not necessarily easy. Your goal is something just a little less than 80 percent of your maximum heart rate.
To determine to your max heart rate:
- take 220
- minus your age
- that’s your maximum heart rate!
A steady paced ride is low intensity training but it actually burns a greater percentage of fat than high intensity training!
A good plan is doing a steady pace ride a couple days a week for a couple hours at a time. These rides will help you burn fat!
High Intensity Interval Training
High-intensity interval training is another great way to burn fat on your
bike. However, it’s high intensity so you have to go full-out, no coasting!
HIIT is all about going as hard as you can for 30 seconds and then pedaling easy for 60 seconds. Do that four more times then pedal easy for four
minutes. Repeat the entire sequence again two times.
